The objective of the HCDA shall be to promote competitive
darts and to coordinate the functions and activities of darts in and around
To
sanction league play according to the rules of play in effect and to establish
friendly relationships with similar organizations.
The
HCDA is a not-for-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian organization.
We
do charge an annual membership fee of $12.00 per player. This fee is due upon
joining the HCDA and membership is renewed every fall at the season sign-up. Team
fees of $24.00 per player shall be applicable each season. All proceeds go
toward “end of season parties” and awards.
Teams that fail to submit these fees on or before the announced
registration deadline will not be scheduled for league play.
Teams
shall consist of a minimum of four (4) players, maximum of six (6)
Players. We also welcome individual players of all
skill levels. We will try to place
individuals who sign up with other players of similar skill level to form new
teams or with existing teams. Team
captains shall be responsible for team conduct and for keeping play timely,
filing weekly scores with our division score keepers and attending the captains
meeting prior to the beginning of the season.
Each
captain shall receive a “captain’s packet” at the beginning of the season. The packet contains score sheets, rules,
membership application forms, roster change forms, substitute policy,
sportsmanship letter, calendar of events, call-in instructions, division roster
and markers.
All
matches are played on Wednesday nights, starting at 7:30pm; a 15 minute late
allowance is acceptable.
Match
format will consist of:
Four
(4) 301 singles, each event two out of three games.
Four
(4) cricket singles, each event two out of three games.
Two
(2) doubles 501, each event two out of three games.
Two
(2) doubles cricket, each two out of three games.
One
(1) 701 team match, minimum of 4 players per team.
Most
matches are over between 10:00pm and 11:00pm.
We
currently have three divisions,
“AA”----
Not for the novice, this is our most competitive division.
“A”------
This is for those players that enjoy a little more relaxed competition, at a
good skill level.
“BB”------
This is for those players that are at a
good skill level and have played for a few more seasons than a novice.
“B”------
This division has a reputation for fun, and is also competitive for the novice
player as well as the intermediate player.
Typically
a team will be “at home” one week and”away” the next. A team schedule will be
supplied to all players.
We
